I was in the process of restoring a vintage land cruiser. I was reupholstery seats and found that some small but essential plastic parts that allowed mounting of the head rest onto the seat back had deteriorated and were no longer useable.nnOf course these were no longer available from the manufacture or even as used plastic parts. So, i asked Scott at Conneckt if you thought he might be able to make them,nnHe almost instantly began to work on the cad design for me. It took him less that a week tocome up with a model for the printer. We sent the design to the printer and it came about nearly perfect,nni was very impressed with this part and liked the way it finished off my seat repair and restoration.nnI would use Scott again, and hope to do so soon as I have some rubber gaskets to redo on my trucknnInteracting with Scott was a really fun experience.
I have a 1992 mobile home that needed small clips for securing the windows in the window casings so they could slide up to open and stay up. I could find them no where so located a 3D printing company in my town which happened to be Connekt,LLC.nScott was willing to try to duplicate the unbroken one I took to him. We agreed the first run should be minimal. They proved to be a fraction too thick so without extra charge he remade them to a slightly different thickness . the second run is very good and the windows now are secure in the frames. I was introduced to Scott at Connekt as a matter of chance. I was looking to start the initial process of designing, conceptualizing and custom manufacturing a new product. In order to start the process, I started reaching out to a number of manufacturers.
