My daughter attended several summer camps at the Fab Lab last summer. She absolutely loved it. There is such a variety of camps to attend depending on your childu2019s interests. The escape room was fantastic, the kids got to create their own escape room, and on the final day of camp, parents got to come and actually try to break out of the escape room! My daughter also did a stained glass camp, which she really enjoyed. The counselors/staff are AMAZING, itu2019s so laid back and just fun.

If you want to get your creative juices going, and learn new skills from Arduino electronics , 3D-printing, CNC cutting, AND MANY MORE, the Steam Room Fab lab is for you. They provide the most amazing array of high quality equipment, which you can use to build your own Nakashima style table in the wood room, or your own abstract sculpture, in the 3-D prinitng lab or your electronic gizmo If you don'e have the skills, high quality teachers give regular classes are frequent intervals, which allows you to rub shoulders with like minded hobbyists or artists. You could never fir all the equipment here into your garage or workshop, and the best part of it is that you don't have to buy your own.. The sharing economy is great! I expect the fablab will attract people from all around, not just Iowa City. I highly recommend it.
It will earn 5 stars when all the equipment has been installed. This lab will allow public access to sew, quilt, 3rd print, laser cut large format items and do wood working. Also gives free classes to members.
